Ten years ago, I joined Leo Club thinking it would be fun. I was right. But I didn't understand what fun really meant.

Hello, I’m Samyak Tuladhar.

When I was just a member, Leo Club felt easy. Show up. Help. Go home. Then I became Vice President and then the President, and everything changed. I discovered responsibility. I discovered the workload. I discovered that leading something you believe in is harder and better than anything else.

The Turning Point

When I asked Diwas dai from T's Your Palate if we could do something meaningful for the community. He understood that a restaurant could be more than food. He understood that leadership means caring about people beyond your business.

Working with T's on CSR efforts opened my eyes. I learned that you can't just plant a tree and walk away. You have to commit. You have to think about what comes next.

Rasuwa Floods Changed Everything

When Rasuwa flooded, we didn't hesitate. We coordinated with 6 other clubs and helped over 5000 people. Not just with money. With clothes. With food. With real presence.

That's when I understood what Leo Club really means. Leadership. Experience. Opportunity. Service. Not just words. Living principles.

What I Became

Ten years ago, I was nervous. Unsure. Quiet.

Now I know at least one person from every district in Nepal. I've hosted major events. I'm outspoken and thoughtful. I became that because people believed in me.

As president and a job holder, I work 9 to 6. Then meetings. Then thinking about what to do next. What event to plan. How to improve Leo. How to make it matter.

Before, I thought being president wouldn't take much time. I was so wrong

Shashank always said: "You should always think about being a president, not just a volunteer." I understand now. Leadership lives in your head. It becomes who you are.

It's been 20+ years with Shashank and Aayush Dai. We were neighbors and really close buddies. And we still work together because we believe in each other.

What’s Coming Next ?

As president, I wanted to do more than relief. I wanted to build something. So we created Leo Learning Lab (LLL), featuring AI, Business Development and Entrepreneurship, Brand Strategy, Share Market/Financial Literacy and Interior Designing.

6 days. 5 workshops. Real skills.

What we want from the younger generation is dedication. If 40 people registered. We need the commitment that all 40 would stay till the end. Not because we forced them. Because it matters

We also planned blood donations. MOU signings with industries. A cook-without-fire workshop with Shashank because sometimes helping means having fun together, not just working. These are just the initial plans, we have so much more to offer.

We want families of Leo members to benefit. We want people to be fit and healthy. We want the entire Leo family to grow together.

The Real Lesson

CSR isn't about doing good once a year. It's about becoming someone who can't stop doing good.

Working with T's Your Palate, I learned that restaurants can matter beyond food. Working as president, I learned that young people can change things. Working with my community, I learned that showing up is everything.

Because the real recipe for success isn't just great burgers. It's a great heart.
